How Payments Work.

1. Credits and Currency

Aletheias uses a credit system for session payments. Credits are purchased in Euros (EUR) and are consumed at a per-minute rate set by each Advisor.

• 25 credits equal 1 EUR.
• Credit purchases are final and non-transferable between accounts.
• Credit balances do not expire while your account remains active.
• All displayed prices are in EUR unless otherwise stated.

2. Pricing and Payments

Each Advisor sets their own per-minute rate within the minimum and maximum boundaries defined by Aletheias. The total cost of a session depends on the duration and the Advisor's rate.

• Seekers add a payment method before starting a paid session.
• Charges are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
• Seekers are charged in EUR; currency conversion fees, if any, are set by their bank.
• Aletheias may hold a small pre-authorisation to confirm the payment method.

3. Advisor Earnings and Payouts

Advisors receive a revenue share of the fees paid by Seekers. The share can reach up to 70%, depending on rating quality and cumulative completed consultancies.

• Payouts are processed bi-weekly through Stripe to the Advisor's connected bank account.
• Advisors must complete identity verification and provide valid payout details before receiving funds.
• Pending disputes or account restrictions may delay a payout.
• Aletheias reserves the right to withhold earnings suspected of fraud or policy violations.

4. Refunds and Disputes

Refunds may be issued in limited circumstances, such as technical failures that prevent delivery of a booked session or a verified policy violation by an Advisor.

• Refund requests must be submitted through the Platform within 14 days of the session.
• Refunds are returned to the original payment method or as account credit, at Aletheias' discretion.
• Aletheias may mediate disputes but is not liable for disagreements about session quality or interpretation.

5. Taxes and Compliance

Advisors are responsible for reporting and paying any income, VAT, or other taxes applicable in their jurisdiction. Aletheias may issue tax documents where required by law.

• At launch, Advisor onboarding is limited to tax-compliant individuals in Canada, the USA, the UK, and Australia.
• Seekers are responsible for any local taxes or duties charged by their payment provider.
• Aletheias complies with applicable anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer obligations.

6. Changes to Payment Terms

Aletheias may update these Payment Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated in advance, and continued use of payment features after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
